Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Stride ("we," "us," or "our") is a mobile application for iOS that helps individuals track their GLP-1 medication journey, including dose logging, weight tracking, and related health data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Stride app.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

• Account credentials (email address and password)
• Profile information: name, birthday, height, starting weight, goal weight
• Medication information: medication name, current dose, start date
• Health logs: dose logs (date, dose amount, injection site, notes), weight logs, protein intake logs, mood logs, side effect logs, non-scale victory notes
• Progress photos you choose to add

Information from Apple Health (only if you grant permission):

• Body weight measurements
• Step count
• Sleep analysis
• Workout and activity data
• Nutrition data (calories, protein)

Apple Health data is read directly on your device. We only upload weight data to our servers when you choose to sync — all other Health data remains on-device.

Information collected automatically:

• Basic authentication tokens necessary to maintain your signed-in session
• App crash reports and diagnostic information (anonymous, no health data)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide and improve the Stride service:

• To create and maintain your account
• To sync your data across your devices
• To restore your data after reinstalling the app
• To send push notifications you have explicitly enabled (dose reminders, weigh-in reminders, photo reminders)
• To calculate and display health insights within the app (BMI, dose history, weight trends)
• To diagnose technical issues and improve app stability

We do not use your health data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it for purposes unrelated to operating Stride.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your account data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database platform with encryption at rest and in transit (TLS). Progress photos are stored in Supabase Storage, isolated per user account.

We use industry-standard security practices including:

• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transfers
• Row-level security ensuring each user can only access their own data
• Hashed and salted password storage (handled by Supabase Auth)

No security system is perfect. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@strideglp1.com.

5. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We share your information only as necessary to operate the app:

• Supabase — cloud database and authentication provider. Data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. See Supabase's Privacy Policy.
• Apple — app distribution (App Store) and, if you opt in, HealthKit data integration. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or health data to any third parties.

6. Push Notifications

Stride can send local push notifications for dose reminders, weigh-in reminders, and progress photo reminders. These are scheduled on your device and do not involve transmitting health data to our servers. You can enable or disable individual notification types in the app's Account tab, or turn all notifications off in iOS Settings.

7. Apple Health

Stride requests read access to Apple Health data to display relevant health context within the app. We do not write to Apple Health. Health data accessed through HealthKit is:

• Used only to power features within Stride
• Never sold or shared with third parties
• Never used for advertising purposes

You can revoke Stride's access to Apple Health at any time in the iOS Health app under Sharing → Apps.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data by using the "Delete account" option in the app's Account tab. Deletion is irreversible and removes all your data from our servers within 30 days.

If you uninstall the app without deleting your account, your data remains stored so you can restore it when you reinstall.

9. Children's Privacy

Stride is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights including:

• Access to the personal data we hold about you
• Correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Data portability (export your data via the app)
• Withdrawal of consent

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by sending an in-app notice. Continued use of Stride after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
